The Simplicity of Giving and Receiving Gifts

The holiday season is the best time of the year because this is the time when most people exchange gifts with each other. Gifts are very sentimental to each person because just the act of giving already reminds the receiver that you are thinking about him or her.

There are a lot of reasons why we give and receive gifts; you might give gifts to the person you are interested simply because you like that person. You might want to give gifts because there is a special occasion intended for the person such as birthdays, graduation or others.

Gifts are also one way to motivate someone, just like what my mother used to do when I was a child; she always told me that she will give me something whenever I got high grades. Giving and receiving gifts is also very common during the holidays especially in Christmas just to feel the real spirit of the season.

Birthday Celebrations Are Always Special

Celebrating the life in birthdays each year is one of the best times in life to receive gifts.

I could still remember one of the best birthdays I had in my life. In the year 2000, when I turned 10 years old, it is best birthday celebrations in my life because my family was there and there are a lot of visitors.

I received many gifts from my parents; friends and relatives who made me realize that I am very important to them. There are plenty of foods in the table cooked by mom and she is a good cook that everyone liked her special recipes.

During that day, I feel I was so special and my existence is really something to celebrate about. That was just one of the memorable birthdays I had because every birthday celebration is special because people reminded me how special I am to them through surprising gifts.

Design Gifts for a Budding Artist

Not many girls are into crafts these days. But my niece is. She takes after my sister who is into art and crafts. I recently picked up some design gifts for her. I got her some great selection of stencils, stamps and pens which she can use to make some cool artwork.

She was so happy when she opened my gift. She was actually preparing for her birthday and she wanted to make personalized invitations for her friends. My gift came in perfect timing, She already had this great selection of papers which her mom got her from an art supply store. She also has the scissors that cut in different odd patterns.

She showed me this website she has been checking out for her inspiration. It was really fun seeing her appreciate my gifts so much. As much as possible I want to give her stuff that will encourage her to create more artistic stuff.
